Discovery

Well, it took 5 months, but the goldfinches have finally discovered the sack hanging from a tree in our backyard. I've been watching them in the front yard for the past few weeks, silently hoping that they would make their way to the back yard and discover it. They never seemed to show up in the back yard, though, until today. It was Quinn who noticed them enjoying the nyjer seed--just one at first, but up to 3 at one time (and I'm sure more will come once the news spreads).
